Mill House

I love old buildings turned houses, and this old mill turned contemporary home, is a renovation done right.
The low-neutral furniture coupled with high ceilings, exposed beams, and stone give off an elegant, casual feel, without seeming they like tried too hard.
I love all the little details too; the Capiz chandelier, tufted furniture, natural wood, and little pops of green. That, and the lack of clutter. I love a clean space.

As much as I love the Living Room and Kitchen, I find myself drawn to the Bedroom and Bathroom. Somehow, the charcoal wall, bedding, and tub seem warm and inviting. I can just imagine curling up in the bed, reading all day, or soaking in the tub with a glass of wine.

Then there's this sweet little girls room. I love how simple and feminine it is.

Fashion Friday: dressing for hockey

Next week we're going to a NHL Hockey game, so of course I'm obsessing over what to wear. I don't really do the whole jeans and t shirt thing. I'm way too girly for that.

Really, who says dressing for your team or a sporting event can't be girly or dressy? No, I'm not talking about pink jerseys. There are a ton of cute options out there. Any of these items, worn properly (like with skinny jeans or a cute bow), would be very cute.
Just look at this first outfit, I'm obsessed!

That last one is actually what I wore to my very first Bruins game, with skinny jeans.

Now, for those instances when I can't exactly have a team logo all over me (work), or I want to go dressy at a game (NYE), I like to mix their colors. Lucky for me, I have Black and Gold to work with, they make such a luxe combo.

Now, if they would just start making Bruins dresses, I would allllll over that.

Wedding Wednesday: San Francisco Conservatory

I've always thought of a conservatory as the perfect setting for a wedding. I think this San Francisco wedding proves that.
I love the design they used for the invites, menu, and wedding program. It reminds me of one of my favorite fabrics.

In Lieu of floral centerpieces, this couple decided to cut that cost and do cheese platters. I love this idea! Maybe that's my love of cheese talking but, really, it's genius. They purchased slate from Lowe's and broke it up, added feet, and topped with all kinds of delicious treats like; Salami, cheese, pickles, grapes, and olives.
An added bonus; they look super cute.

I love the idea of adding a brooch to your bouquet, especially when it's a sweet little bee on a bouquet of succulents. Isn't the Grooms chunky tie awesome? It's so different.

White Kitchens

As much as I love bold color, I absolutely love a white kitchen. It makes such a clean canvas for pretty confections or colorful dishes.
Someday, I will have a white marble counter top and white cabinets. Children with sticky fingers be damned.

I love the layout, windows, lights, and floors here, but why did they have to choose such busy handles?
This is my favorite. It honestly could not be more perfect. Via Sublime Home

Sweet, smaller kitchen. The glass cabinets were a great idea to help open the area up.
