Covet

The following are from an online magazine, Covet Garden.
I think the best thing about this magazine is that none of their spaces have been professionally styled. They're all real spaces, by real people. Just proves you don't have to be a professional to have an eye for decor ;)
I'm especially loving the simplicity of the pictures below. They're uncluttered and open feeling.
The tissue paper poms above the crib are a great alternative to the traditional, boring mobile. I'm willing to bet the baby finds them just as interesting as some ugly, expensive store bought mobile too. How great is that little desk area? I'd love to get my hands on a blue type writer! Very cool.

Relax

So I'm actually posting on a Friday. I'm going to keep it short (and boring) though because I just got home from a surprise 40th B-day for a friends husband and it's late and I'm tired.  Anyways, don't those drinks look pretty and refreshing?

Masculinity?

Here's another great manly space. I think this is masculine without being cheesy or too rough. The black walls, brown leather headboard and geometric blanket give it just enough edge to make a man feel comfortable without making a woman cringe. Or maybe I just think that because I am a woman? Regardless, I like it.

Delicious wedding plans

I ran across this other day and just had to share. The bride and groom are still in the planning stages but this has the makings to be a charming, fun wedding.

Instead of doing the traditional evening ceremony, cocktail hour and reception they're planning on having a sweet brunch wedding.

Before the ceremony, as the guests arrive they will enjoy doughnuts (from the famed Voodoo doughnuts) and Mimosa's. Then, after the ceremony they're planning on serving a traditional brunch including: Muffins, Prime Rib, Eggs Benedict, and my personal favorite; French toast with orange bourbon butter, spiced pecans and fresh bananas. Yum! The day doesn't stop there either. Later that night the Bride and Groom will host drinks in their wedding suite.

The bride is taking inspiration from peacocks lovely coloring and using royal blue, purple and silver as her colors. She will be incorporating peacock feathers into the decor and ring bearers pillow. There will even be edible peacock feathers in the cupcakes (yup, more delicious food!).
We've still got a couple months until this dream wedding becomes a reality and I'm looking forward to seeing (and sharing) the finished project.

Hucklebones

Too cute! I want to buy all of these sweet outfits for my darling niece. Heck, they're so cute they're making me wish I had my own child to buy them for. I love the peterpan collar, seersucker, ruffles and sweet bows. Then there's that yellow rabbit dress and skirt. Do they come in my size?

P.s. everything is 60% off! Shop: Hucklebones

I can't let go...

of Valentines Day. It may be the last day of February but I'm still loving all things Valentines and Love. Don't worry, I threw in a few non mushy links ;)

One of my favorite bloggers (Slumber Designs), is giving away one of my favorite perfumes. Go!

I know it's over but these hand wrapped Valentines are so sweet.

This English tradition regarding Valentines is interesting and almost more senitmental. I agree though, I prefer to send and receive many.

Loving couples.

Remember these streamers from last week? There's hats too!

The perfect party for a 2 year old. I love the snack bar!

Beautiful, amazing, aftermath. I am jealous/ in awe of these pictures.

Who is that handsome guy?

Oh yes, Oscar! T is very excited about the Academy Awards this year and has made sure to watch all the nominated movies and cast his vote. Well, his excitement over the event has me excited too. I do love looking at all the gorgeous dresses. We're going to pick up some treats and have a little comfy, homey Oscar party to ourselves. Maybe next year we'll have a fantastic party like one of these:

And Oscar himself....
