Decor Envy

Once I got over my extreme jealousy for this gorgeous NYC apartment layout I couldn't help but admire the eclectic and homey design. A Cup of Jo is one of my favorite blogs and I love how their home just seems to sum it all up.

The best parts are definitely those personal touches. The Clash poster that he loves (which happens to look amazing in there!) and the rocking chair with the sweet memories, that fact that its cozy and kid friendly while still being stylish and not childish.

I'm not sure if I love the collage TV wall or that gorgeous grey rug / couch combo more. Either way, I know that I want to completely redecorate our condo. Or, better yet, find a new condo with hardwood floors, lots of windows, and some character.

Fabulous Movie Interiors: Miss Pettigrew Lives for A Day

First off, if you've never seen Miss Pettigrew lives for a day, you really should. It's a darling movie!
It is also takes place in the most glamorous apartment, ever.
The huge fur rug, grand staircase, completely tufted wall, and a completely over the top bathroom done up in cream, gold, black, and teal create the perfect space for the single rich girl.

Mod Farmhouse

This Mod Farmhouse is impressive! I always love a good, raw space. It looks like they use it as a studio. I think it'd make for an incredible guest house, though privacy could be an issue. I really like how the door is a bit unexpected.

What would you use this space for?

Layered bedding

Something about layered bedding is just so sumptuous and cozy. It looks divine too, who wouldn't want to crawl into a bed covered in a variety of blankets and downs?
I have been trying to achieve this look, but can't seem to find a down comforter thick and fluffy enough. Likely because I live in Arizona and it's kind of hard to justify that kind of warmth and layering when it's 1000 degrees out. A girl can dream....especially with beds like these!

San Francisco Living

I love San Francisco. I'd love to live in San Francisco. Not sure I could handle just 500 sq ft though. One of my favorite blogger, Jordan Ferney and her family of 4, handle it quite beautifully though.

Check out the way they've maximized their limited space. Somehow, the whole place still looks light, inviting, and not at all crowded or cluttered. I love her style, especially the kids room. The black and white tile floor is a huge bonus too, as I'm quite obsessed.

Atrium House

Who would guess that anything exciting would be hiding behind that facade?
Well, in Brooklyn, NY, that unsuspecting and industrial looking door leads to a modern home with gorgeous floor to ceiling windows that surround a pretty green atrium.

I love the cement floors with the steel framed windows. I'm not wild about the bedroom paneling at all, but the rest of the house definitely makes up for it.

Sometimes Black & White is better

I have a weird, not very exciting confession: I love black and white tile floor. Blame it on my obsession with 3 Men and a Baby (I really hope you get that connection), but I've always imagined having a black and white tile floor in either the kitchen or living room of my dream house. I still plan on incorporating it somewhere, someday.
