Gallery Wall

I mentioned quite some time ago that I was trying to figure out what to do on the wall above my bed. Well, I finally decided to do a gallery wall. I bought all the frames for cheap at Goodwill and have spray painted them all black.
I just need to decide how to lay them out (not as easy as I thought!). I've been using these photos to help me out. Hopefully I'll have the finished product up for you soon.

Contemplating curtains

For some reason curtains make me think of Dr. Suess's There's a Wocket in my Pocket. Anyways, I've decided I'm going to go for it and do some curtains in the bedroom. I hate how the vertical blinds look and would look the ability to make it a little darker in there in the summer. I'm going to follow this no sew tutorial from younghouselove. Now, I just need to decided which fabric! What do you think?

Fashion Friday: The Royal Wedding

Of course! It's all anyone's been talking about lately right? How appropriate for it to fall on Friday too. Now, growing up on this side of the pond, I'm not a huge hat fan. However, I know how those English love them. There were a couple hats I enjoyed but over all, I thought most were over the top. Kate's dress, while not at all what I expected, was absolutely beautiful. Most of all though, I loved her earrings. They were custom designed by her parents and have some special meaning which you can read about here.

 These hats I like. Doesn't help that these girls are gorgeous.

 

I think her outfit was appropriate, classy and very cute.

 

While I hate both of their hats I do love the outfit on the right. The pleated skirt, cute heels and pretty jacket. All in a beautiful blush color. Perfect.

Ooh La La!

Saturday we went to T' sisters house and dyed eggs with our niece. T took the task quite seriously and using some small hair rubber bands he created stripes in the center of the egg before dying it in a couple different colors. The outcome was pure perfection- I think it has a nice, French flair to it. As you can see, he is quite proud of this egg and he should be! Ooh La La, indeed!

Wedding Wednesday: Glamour

I think this is one of the most glamorous brides I have ever seen. Her hair and makeup are impeccable and that dress is perfection. Truly inspiring. Doesn't hurt that she has a perfect profile either.

I like how the bridesmaids have non matching pink dresses. They go together without looking like clones.
