Monday Links: This is August
Hilarious map of how New Yorkers see the rest of America (as usual Alaska and Hawaii are skipped :()
This looks like a sweet little book.
Best luggage tags, ever.
The prettiest collection of photo's.
PB&J candybar Yum!
State motto's turned into art. I'd love to buy Alaska's.
An incredibly cute, nerdy proposal. Make sure you watch the video at the end.

From the bottom up
My parents have so kindly asked for my help in decorating their new condo. Now, they haven't owned a house (or apartment or condo) in 5 1/2 years as they were traveling the states in their motorhome. So now they have this awesome condo and nothing to put in it. That is where they're having me come in. Come Thursday I will be flying to Dallas for a long weekend of extreme shopping and home decorating. As my time there is limited we've done a lot of pre shopping online, getting an idea of what we liked.
Here's the condo with the previous owners stuff:
Pretty isn't it?
We've kind of decided to work from the ground up since they know they want a large area rug for the living room and bedroom, no red. Preferably something with some yellows or pale, celery green. So I start scouring the internet for a rug and I find this choice for the bedroom jaipur printed dhurrie rug let's just hope we like it as much in person!
Then I find this beauty on Home Decorators Martha Stewart Chrysanthemum rug and it seems perfect! Looks plush, has nice, muted pattern and appears to be yellow with a pretty pale blue pattern. Before ordering it I decided to check out the reviews. Well, turns out it sheds - a lot. Ok, we could figure that out but... the color is actually more of a sage green and grey :( Wahhh, not what we wanted. Back to the rug hunt...

Best bedroom ever?
Well, when I saved this picture (months ago) thats how I named it. It is pretty amazing. 4 poster bed, bay windows, herringbone wood floor? It's got it all.

Wedding Wednesday: Puerto Vallarta
It's when I see weddings like this one that I would consider doing a destination -tropical wedding. This beauty takes place in Puerto Vallarta. I love, love, love, the basic whites and gorgeous scenery with the various shades of purple. I just love how light and airy everything looks. Formal but not stuffy, just my style.

M.F.E.O.
M.F.E.O. as in, Made For Each Other. As in, I think me and this house were made for each other.
Everything from the ample windows and natural light to the wood floors and vaulted ceilings call to me. Then you add to that the best catwalk I've seen yet, a spacious shower and a large kitchen and I'm sold. Throw in the gorgeous patio, wooden swing and San Francisco address and I'm completely head over heels.

Day of rest?
Or day to get stuff done? I got my new bedding washed, ironed and on the bed. I also finally finished the gallery wall! I'm still finalizing what will go in the frames (the only one for sure staying is the blue birdcage paper) but they're finally hung and off of my living room floor.
Now, I just need to upholster the headboard, get new table lamps for the nightstands and decide if I'm removing those picture frames on the other wall.
