Wedding Wednesday: Etsy finds

I popped over to Etsy today to see what fabulousness was awaiting and wouldn't you know it, all wedding stuff featured! Apparently they got the Wedding Wednesday memo ;)

The first little dress would be the sweetest flower girl's dress for a casual, rustic or winter wedding.  Of course I love the bird cake toppers and the birdcage to use a a card box. That darling Florette necklace? Also doubles as a belt or headband. Lastly, that short wedding dress is just beautiful!

Posing with friends. Hilarious.

The hippest mens toiletries.

Pick your battles wisely or face the giant chicken?

Stunning, pretty hair.

How would you like a pool in your living room?

I made these tasty peach collins last year and completely forgot about them. Until now.

The sweetest baby bonnet & skirt.

Good night

Via Emily A. Clark

Oops, I keep forgetting to post until right before I go to bed! Yesterday I went to one of our local waterparks, such a wonderful time! It was nice to be outside but be able to stay cool and have some fun. I'd love t obe crawling into that bed with that Chinosserie duvet from Dwell that I love so much. Such a shame it's so expensive!

Man camp

Isn't this great? I imagine some handsome man with glasses and a trendy fedora and suspenders has taken up camp here. Love the charcoals and black, always sleek.

Wedding Wednesday: Colorful Brooklyn Affair

This colorful wedding takes place in one of my dream wedding venues, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. In highschool I was flipping through a magazine and they had a celebrity wedding featured that took place at the botanical gardens. In the photos it was pouring rain and it looked so gorgeous through the glass, domed roof. Anyways, love the venue.

Now, onto this wedding! You may notice the bridesmaids all have different colored shoes and accessorizes. The bride had them all choose the same dress but then to keep with her colorful them, assigned each a color to accessorize with. I love how it turned out! Everything is uniform but everybody still gets to add their own little flair.
I really like the simplicity and clean lines of the invitations then there's that amazing green map. Do you know how much I love maps? A lot. One in all green? Even better! Of course they have the ever popular (and adorable) typewriter and suitcase. What a pretty, colorful wedding.

Get Personal

This apartment has such a great indie vibe to it. While it's not exactly my style I love the use of colorful materials to brighten up the dim walls.I can imagine gathering with friends over the table in the kitchen talking or baking some bread or sipping tea in the living room.
It all seems very personal, which I like.

Wedding Wednesday: London style

This is such a charming little English wedding. The bride's short dress seems to work perfectly with her cute pixie cut. I think my favorite part though is the Reception. I love all the white with just the little bits of gold from the chandeliers and green from the centerpieces. The long tables give it an intimate, family feel while accomodating a lot of people. Very classy.

Skinny Love and good photography

First, listen.

Now, look.  Photographer Michael Robinson has so beautifully captured these spaces. As Desire to Inspire points out, a good designer should always use a good photographer. It's hard to capture even a gorgeous space if you're not using the right lighting or angle. Anyways, I could not help but drool over these interiors. I especially love that aqua back splash on the stove, the perfect punch of color. The all white with the subway tile and butchers block island is exactly what I'd imagine my "family" home's kitchen to be.
