Jerome

Or "Jermoan" as T likes to call it. Maybe for all the moaning ghosts? Jerome is a quaint, old mining town perched on a cliff. It's rumored to have lots of ghost but unfortunately we weren't able to do one while we were there. We did however walk downtown (aka town, haha) and check out the cute shops like The World's Largest Kaleidoscope Store. I was intrigued by the hollowed out, old bank (pictured below), I thought the "vault" was quite funny.

One of the highlights of Jerome is the Jerome Grand Hotel (formally a hospital) but we were saddened to find it closed, you can read about that here :(.

Sedona

As promised. T and I spent a nice little weekend in Sedona, it was so nice to get away, relax and eat at delicious restaurants.

So, as you can see we didn't really take a lot of scenery pictures. Not sure why, but we didn't. I guess that's a good excuse to go back?

We're back! We have internet! And I'm exhausted...

I love this bedroom. Everything from the herringbone wooden floors, the fireplace, and the gorgeous canopy. I think the whole thing has a very old world feel to it.

I see I've already lapsed on my resolution to post daily. Well, in my defense, T and I have taken a weekend away to Sedona and the Internet sucks! All I've got with me is my phone and 3g just isn't happening. Were not here for the Internet anyway though:)

A Desire house

I'm digging this house found on Desire to inspire. It feels very organic with all the clean lines and natural woods. I like the simpilicity of it all. The kitchen with the sliding panels to the patio is just amazing, it makes it so open. I'm not a big patio person but I can just imagine going out there for some morning yoga or an intimate cocktail party.  

Natalie Portman Love

Natalie seems to be back on the scene and I am just loving her even more lately. She's always been a favorite of T's (surprise, surprise), he says her Harvard smarts attribute too it but I'm pretty sure it's just her cuteness he adores. I've been dying to see her new thriller, Black Swan and now her comedy, No String's Attached.

Well, after my trip to the bookstore yesterday I planned on posting about some good books I found. Unfortunately my phone (camera) is refusing to cooperate so you get this. I've had this picture of a while. I absolutely love this clutch! I'm a huge reader and especially love older books. I've seen some similiar ideas but this one is the most authentic looking I've found. Anyone want to buy it for me? From what I remember it's *only* like $150. Oh Kate Spade...you are so clever.

I know it wasn't that long ago that I last changed the background here but I felt with a new year I really needed a new look. I hope you all like it as much as I do :) As my only resolution (so far) this year I've decided I'm really going to blog every day.

New Year!

Happy 2011! I'm curious to see what this year has in store.

Today I'm feeling a sleek, more formal look for the year. Chandeliers, lots of mirrors, lavish flower arrangements and plush fabrics...sigh. This is of course subject to change within the next hour or so.

Tis the season

Christmas, my favorite! I've got the tree up (although pending the new ornaments I found at Target today that will be changing next week) but I've yet to get the rest of the house decorated. I've been searching online for some inspiration and here's some pretties I found:
